Wallum Connections: Creativity and Nature Love from Little Artists

On Sunday 21 July 2024, the inaugural 'Wallum Connections' children's art competition and exhibition lit up our community with an explosion of creativity and heartfelt connection.

With 51 incredible artworks submitted, it was a day of celebration, art, and a shared love for our beautiful Wallum ecosystem.

The theme? Connection! Our young artists explored their ties to place, people, culture, and the special creatures of the Wallum.

Submissions came from all corners of the Byron Shire—Byron Bay, Federal, Mullumbimby, and Brunswick Heads. We even had entries from Lismore, Jiggi, Lennox Head, and one all the way from Sydney!
